| This song was written back in the 70's for her sister Stella. Stella had a fairly big hit with it, and if I remember correctly, still performs it in concert. Her version is 70's pop-country.
Dolly was coming up with songs for The Grass Is Blue, and started randomly humming this song. She was humming it bluegrass style, and liked what she heard.
Both versions are great, and theres no way to have a favorite. Anyone who loves this version should hear Stella's too! |
